I've spoken about the opportunity of gifting your recommendations to those you love this year. My last post was based around your more sensible friends, the ones you meet for afternoon tea and go running with on a Sunday afternoon. This is it's naughty sister, I have chosen a few products that I not only love but my less sensible friends will love as well. These are the people that do in fact own a dressing up box at the age of twenty (holly), the girls that think of house music as a religion and the ones that have actually debated buying a £300 pill that makes you poop glitter. Don't believe me?

My November Favourites! | My Recommended Gifts for the Sensible.
My Blog Post Saviour: It's been a while since I posted a recommended blog post, but whenever I do there is a 50/50 chance it's going to be something from Nouvelle Daily. This week I have been inspired by their DIY posts, and one in particular has got me on the shopping list already DIY Scented Christmas Candles. I get through candles like water and reuse their containers for less attractive essentials like cotton buds, pads and makeup brushes. But now I am in the mood to reuse them for other candles, as well as other ornaments. Not only are they a great bedroom decoration but at this time of year they could be the perfect gift. Have you seen Nouvelle's DIY posts?
My New Find: If you follow me on twitter then you will know that I spent some of last week in Nottingham visiting a friend at University. Their Christmas market was on and ice skating rink was open, I had the best time! Whilst shopping I noticed that almost every shop or concession had some kind of Cath Kidston section or appreciation. This of course lead me to their store and then to their tills with a rather gorgeous iPhone case. Black with red and pink flowers, I love it so much I've got a post completely dedicated to Cath Kidston coming up before Christmas!
My Most Appreciated: I can honestly say that I didn't even have to think about what I have been most thankful for this past week. My fingernails have been commented on so many times that I have now been thinking of ways to up their game. And I have SensatioNail to thank for that. I've recently had the chance to speak to some of their representatives about where the brand is going and what they hope to achieve. Lets just say I am incredibly excited! It started with the perfect mani, onto nail art, glitters and accent nails. I currently have a full blown Christmas tribute going on. A shimmered berry red with a top coat of fine gold glitter. Again I have a post coming up as a part of something special that I am very exited to announce here on Slightgem very soon!
How has your week been? Have you full transformed into a raving Christmas loony?

The past week has been a ramble of posts about the gift sets and limited edition packages that I'm assuming everyone will receive. I am guilty of this, remember my Christmas With Debenhams post? I do enjoy the odd mini and bath bomb selection but I wouldn't personally ask for them. Which is what got me thinking, what have I bought that I would recommend to others? Isn't Christmas the perfect time to pass on your suggestions? Within reason of course.

It's that time again where I round up my monthly favourites and put them up on the pedestal that they deserve. This month has gone so quickly I almost can't believe it! I know that everyone says that but honestly I've been so busy that I haven't even realised the dates go by. The run up to Christmas has been filled with stress, candles, warm clothes and plenty of hot drinks. So what made the cut?

Do you ever find yourself franticly sorting through your makeup collection looking for something? This happens to me whenever I have the usual daily makeup re-shuffle. So when I saw the Laura Mercier Colour-to-go Portable Palette I knew that I had to have it in my collection.

My Twitter Saviour: In case your not a twitter addict, #ff stands for 'Follow Friday'. This weekly occurrence encourages people to share their favourite blogs, brands and people. You use the hashtag and mentioned users, it's that simple! I think it's great to celebrate the things you enjoy and even give someone else a new favourite. I have found so many of my own and so I hope that you join in next week. Spread the love! Here are the twitter users that I tagged this week, @SensatioNailUK @iPulseSmooth @fandbtribes1 @SurelyChar @TodayIBegin
My New Find: Now that it's officially winter I am freezing cols 24/7! And one thing that I reccomend to everyone is a Zara scarf! Thick enough to keep to keep you warm through a blizzard, and big enough to use as a blanket! That's a win win for just £30!
My Most Appreciated: My nails have been perfectly painted and fit for a princess all week! And I have SensatioNail to thank for that. The gel manicure that keeps on giving, I have mentioned wonder product here and here before but thought that it deserved a special place in the weekly update! Don't forget to take advantage of the current offer in boots, over half price off the Deluxe Starter Kit, full details here!
How was your week? What winter must haves have you bought recently?

This is the time of year when every blogger is talking about Christmas, presents, food and outfits. But today I'm going to take a break from all of that. I've seen so many gifts that I just want for myself, having to wrap a certain candle and cry as I label the tag, 'mum'. I think I've been rather good this year, and I've definitely exceeded my giving limit so why not treat myself? Because after all it is Christmas, and the time for giving?

I've mentioned before that I try and change my makeup routine as much as I can, but whenever I have a reshuffle I always find one brand in my daily stash. Bourjois! This really has become my most loved brand throughout November and probably a while before that too. These are the five products that will forever be in my makeup collection...
